About Us

 

We have been friends since primary school and have played together in numerous bands on and off since childhood. Both of us have also been involved in many other musical projects throughout our lives and have also both performed as solo artists. 

 

Dave started to play the guitar at the age of seven and is also a mean bass player. Through his teens and University he was the lead singer and guitarist in a popular rock covers function band and played many gigs, parties, weddings and festivals all over the country. He then moved on to a new project and performed across the North West and North Wales for many years as a solo acoustic artist until forming EDit Acoustic with Emily in 2018.

 

Emily began learning the piano at the age of five and then started guitar at age ten. Emily is a keen song writer and was the lead singer and rhythm guitarist in an alternative grunge band throughout the late 90's and early 2000's playing and recording original music. She is also currently guitarist and vocalist in an originals punk band based in the North West. Emily has also played keyboard in a rock covers band, been the lead singer in a Blues covers band and performed as a solo acoustic artist with her guitar. Emily also plays the drums and a bit of violin. 

 

In 2018 we decided to form EDit Acoustic and have been playing weddings, parties, gigs and events around the UK bringing added extras to the usual acoustic duo. We are both experienced lead vocalists so offer interesting male/female vocal harmonies. In addition we use drums, a cajon drum and percussion to create a bigger sound. We love putting together mash-ups and medleys and adding our own twist to well known songs. Finally we can provide a laid back piano based set perfect for a drinks reception. All this in a compact duo package! 

 

We are passionate musicians and love what we do and this along with our friendship and chemistry shines through in our performances. We are constantly working on new arrangements for songs to add into our sets. We also really enjoy writing and recording original, acoustic based music together.
